A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This shop is honestly incredible! Not only does Bird &Blend sell creative and truly delicious tea blends, but they also have the best staff. The shop itself is so cute , and they even have seating downstairs. You know that feeling when you go to a shop and the sales assistants just seem like they are trying to sell/forcing you to buy stuff? Well this place is not like that at all! The staff are genuinely sweet, friendly, kind, helpful, and caring, and it is very clear they truly love the company. I think that speaks volumes about the shop and company itself. Not once did I feel unwelcome there. It feel like everyone’s always welcomed there and it’s such a lovely feeling. I love Bird &Blend so much that I have introduced a few of my friends to it, and they loved the experience and the teas too. I literally just came back from the cosy - in sessions they run every month, and it was such a lovely experience - one that definitely would not be the same without the lovely staff (and, of course the amazing teas). I love their pumpkin spice tea (and other seasonal tea blends they sell) , matchas and ear grey cream!"
"It's not hard to find a tea shop in London, but how many tea shops are happy to welcome a chatty American in and keep the conversation going? That's what this place is: happy. Everything from the charm of the shop, to the wonderful scent of teas in the air, the stellar customer service, you can feel that Bird & Blend wants to bring joy to your tea drinking. The blends themselves are creative, the color changing lemon tea is magical, and the sales associates were happy to talk about everything from tea suggestions, to brewing recommendations, to how tea is served at your home. Did I spend too long chatting up the wonderful company and sipping my magical tea? Yes. Did I purchase some 'gifts' for myself here? Yes. Did I stay so long I did a second round of shopping to get proper gifts for other people? Also yes. And I would do it again. I wish I lived close to this shop just to walk in regularly, smell what's brewing in the air, and say hello. If you're an tourist looking for some tea gifts, like I was, you should definitely give this place a try. (Also, plenty of seating and clean toilets are always a bonus!) Can't wait to stop by again!"
"We booked a private tea blending workshop at this location and it was exquisite! Denise was super knowledable and extremely helpful. The retail staff were funny and warm. We had the best time and left with tea to cherish."
"Absolutely my new favourite place to buy tea in London! When you barely enter the shop you are immediately greeted with the complimentary tea cup which I found awesome! The selection is massive - everyone will find something for themselves. Also another great thing is you can try the tea before you buy it or smell it - I find this so helpful to decide what you buy in the end. Staff is very helpful and lovely, will definitely come back for more!"
"I never leave reviews but I just walked into your Islington shop almost in tears bc my mum died yesterday and I needed a small pick me up in tea format. Mum loved a cuppa and I had just been shopping for wool to make a jumper to cremate her in, which was hard. Thank you to whoever was working there today; the tea expert with great lipstick and tooth gems. You know who you are. I am sorry I didn't get your name but please know you made all the difference today. You deserve the world. Bird and Blend has been there for me through a whole lot and today was no different."
"We did the tea blending workshop here and enjoyed our Sunday morning doing so. With no rush to get you out of the door, you get a better understanding about flavours and blending. Essentially given enough information in order to be let loose and make your own teas to take home. Thanks to the team for a nice morning. And to the rest of my classmates, I say you are all wrong and Lapsang Souchong is delicious!"
"My go to shop for authentic teas that is so epic and full of natural flavours! Matcha powders must have ! And cold brew teas ! And the staff there is also very friendly and professional! A must try !"
"We went for the tea blending experience. They taught us all about the teas and then we got to make our own at the end. Lovely people and a lovely talk."
